The 100th Post Spectacular

Hey, this is my 100th post!
When this little effort began I never thought I'd end up writing so much, and I thank all of the fine folks who stop by here every few days to read my stuff and leave comments. The list has been slowly growing, and that's a really neat thing to see.

Yes, friends, this blog has evolved quite a bit, hasn't it? What started out as something I didn't even WANT to do has become one of my favorite pastimes. See, this effort began way back in February of 2009 when my boss decided that having me review movies would be a good way to punch up the radio station's website. Being the miserable workaholic that I was at that time, I was thoroughly annoyed by the idea, and dragged my feet on making new entries for the first several months. I was like, "No one wants to read any crap that I write!", and grudgingly typed out one-paragraph reviews whenever I happened to have a spare five minutes. It was a sad excuse for a blog, really.

Over time, however, I started to ENJOY coming up with new entries -- not only about movies, but about other stuff, as well. For years, I'd been kicking around ideas for all sorts of random crap to write or publicly speak about, and the blog turned out to be a great medium for acting on those ideas. I now get a great deal of enjoyment out of posting to this thing, and also love checking out the blogs of others who I've found as a result of my work here.

Anyway, just to celebrate my hitting of the 100 post mark, I thought I'd go back and compile some statistics on what I've done so far. Let's take a walk down Memory Lane with a quick summary, shall we?
